Frequently Asked Questions

1. What does a dietitian do?

A dietitian is a qualified healthcare professional who provides expert advice on nutrition and diet to help manage medical conditions, improve overall health, and support specific goals like weight management or performance optimisation.

2. Do I need a referral to see a dietitian?

No, you do not need a referral. You can book a consultation directly through our website. However, if your GP or healthcare provider has referred you, we can work alongside them to support your health needs.

3. What happens during a consultation?

Your initial consultation includes a detailed assessment of your diet, medical history, lifestyle, and goals. We then provide personalised recommendations, meal planning guidance, and practical strategies to help you achieve sustainable results.

4. How long is a consultation?

Initial consultations typically last 60 minutes, while follow-up reviews are 30 minutes. This allows enough time for a thorough assessment and tailored advice.

5. Can a dietitian help with medical conditions?

Yes, we provide expert support for a range of conditions, including diabetes, digestive disorders, heart health, weight management, and more. Our evidence-based guidance ensures your dietary plan is safe and effective.

6. What’s the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

Dietitians are regulated healthcare professionals trained to provide medical nutrition therapy. They are registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Nutritionists can offer general dietary advice but are not qualified to diagnose or manage medical conditions.

7. Do you offer in-person consultations?

Typically, we prioritise a fast and dynamic service. However, we are open to working with individuals. Please feel free to reach out via our 'Contact Us' page or book a call. Please note that in-person consultations will incur an additional charge.

8. How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your goals and health needs. Some people see improvements after one or two sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support to maintain long-term progress.

9. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards/apple pay. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your appointment, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date.
Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed to the original payment method within 5 working days

10. Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

We understand that plans can change, and we’re happy to accommodate where possible. To help us manage our schedule fairly, we kindly ask that you give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a charge of up to 100% of the consultation fee, to reflect the time reserved and preparation already undertaken.

This cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent, and complies with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
